Deep groove VG vinyl. Play tested- sounds great with mellow crackle but retains warm full tone. Cover is in G+ condition-beautiful glossy front cover suitable for framing. Top and bottom seam are taped together (see pic), but cover is still very presentable and would look great in a frame. Staining on top of back cover (see pic).

illustrator David Stone Martin was one of the most prolific and influential graphic designers of the postwar era, creating over 400 mostly Jazz Lp Covers with his signature hand-drawn style that perfectly captured the energy and spontaneity of the idiom. he was from Chicago and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and began his career assisting social realist painter Ben Shahn designing murals for the 1933 World's Fair and then became the TVA art director and also worked as an artist for Life Magazine during WW II until later entering the music biz through his longtime friendship with Norman Granz designing covers for his Verve, Norgran Clef and Down Home record labels as well as hundreds of other album covers and is the most famous and collected artist of all jazz era and his work has exhibited at Metropolitan Museum of Art and at MOMA in New York City *
