Graham's fourth album arriving a year after "Folk, Blues & Beyond" and two after his seminal collaboration with Shirley Collins. Back in 1966 this was a beautifully recorded LP in a gorgeous front-laminated sleeve & but this 54 year-old original has had much play and handling over the decades. However due the mid-60s vintage the vinyl has largely withstood the treatment by early owners, and is still sounding great.
Condition: Vinyl / Sleeve / Innersleeve:
Good overall condition for vintage of LP.
Vinyl visually Good flat, retains partial sheen, but marked by play, handling, the odd needle drop by the look. Playback, Very Good played back in mono - low level noise on intros, but stlll very sharp, little decline in sound bar the odd pop or click which you'd anticipate for a 54 year-old LP - seriously you will be really pleased with the audio here; there is no deterioration as you get closer to the centre. I'm pretty certain a decent pro-clean would only add to an already outstanding experience.
Labels - Good - marks around spindle holes, espeically on Side 2 - please note these haven't shown on photos particularly clearly.
Sleeve - Laminated Front is Very Good - creases on edges, corner bumps, nothing serious; Non-laminated Rear of sleeve - Poor - marked, stained, general grubby with foxing, small tears - study photos carefully please.
Company innersleeve - a substituted Decca Red Mono from 1965 - VG.
A very good playing copy for someone who'd rather have an original than a current reissue.
