During the disco era, there were many one-shot studio bands that appeared, released one album or single, and then disappeared. Dazzle, whose output consisted of one self-titled LP and a single to promote it, are amongst the more celebrated of these studio bands - in part because the project was masterminded by three of the disco era's finest producers: Stan Lucas, Patrick Adams and artist-arranger-vocalist Leroy Burgess. You can hear their influence throughout, from the rising orchestration, restless cowbells, spacey synths and killer groove of 'Walk Before You Run' (featuring lead vocals from a pre-fame Jocelyn Brown), and the classic disco soulfulness of 'It's Not The Same', to the dancefloor rush of single 'You Dazzle Me' and the sublime Burgess showcase 'Reaching'.
