First issued in 1974, Joni Mitchell's finest and biggest selling album gets the full treatment here by Steve Hoffman and the folks at DCC. Remastering from the original tapes, vacuum tube cutting, and pressed onto 180 gram virgin vinyl, this edition is the definitive audiophile version of this classic. Originally one of the better quality jobs of studio recording in its day, this DCC version of Court and Spark has become a demo and test standard for analog based audiophile systems. The sound quality is unbelievable. Enough about the sonics. You already know about the 10 great songs that make up this album. This copy is in great condition and is one of the last few limited sealed copies available out there. Music Direct has one listed for $200.The outer vinyl bag has the 2 usual weep holes for "breathing". There is one scratch on the bag about 2 inches long. It is in front of the embossed portion(just like the original gatefold sleeve) over Joni Mitchell's name on the lower front. There is a small dent to the sleeve about 1/16 of an inch long underneath the scratch on the bag. There are the usual but minor scuffs to the bag that come from storage. There is a separation along the perforated edge about 2 inches long(see fingers). On the top edge of the sleeve, there is a slight 3/4 inch separation of the colored layer of paper revealing the white underneath(See photo). Otherwise the record sleeve is in great condition and of course the disc is mint, unopened and unplayed. You will not see very many of these come up for bid on eBay. This is number 1796 of a limited production run of, I believe, 5000. Good luck bidding.
