Here it is, an incredibly rare, one-of-a-kind Dead Boys test pressing! 
This album, Night of the Living Dead Boys, was recorded at the legendary CBGB's in March 1979 and captures the last performance of the Dead Boys with all the original members.  
The story of the recording goes something like this: the band were essentially broken up, but they were obligated to release one more record to fulfill their record contract.  So they decided to do a live album, as recording a studio album would require writing more material and being in the same room together for longer than a night. Stiv Bators showed how little he cared to be at this show by not singing into the microphone, resulting in the necessity of overdubbing his vocals at a later date.  
Almost in spite of their intentions, these performances are great and are essential listening for any Dead Boys fans!

Label: album was issued on BOMB!. The "Rainbow Records" on the label is the famous duplication house originally based in Santa Monica, California. 
Catalog #:  BLP 4017
Pressing Year:  1981 (this is not stamped on the label, but the album was issued in 1981 so one can assume the pressing is from the same year).
Disc Condition:  VG++ to M- (record looks great, no surface marks or scratches. very clean). 
Play Condition: Record plays just as it looks. The recording is a bit noisy (it is a live record after all), but the noise level similar to that of the commercially released CD version. Please see audio sample above. Jacket Condition:  Plain white sleeve, looks original.

Grading Info:
All records are graded using the Goldmine Magazine record grading standard (see below). Each record is visually graded under strong light. If a record is play graded, it will be noted in the item description.

Goldmine Magazine Record Grading Standard:
M (Mint) – Perfect, flawless. Still sealed in original packaging and never played. These are RARE. 
M- or NRMT (Mint Minus or Near Mint) – The highest grade for a record that has been played.  The album is in excellent condition and shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality.
VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus) – Only the slightest of wear, certainly no deep scratches. Cover may have slight ring wear and minor seam splitting.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Well cared for. Though there may be more wear to the cover and record it should play without skipping or repeating.
VG (Very Good) – Still good condition, but more wear than VG+.  
VG- (Very Good Minus) – Generally not collectible condition, unless it’s a super rare record.  
G (Good) – Lots of wear, but still playable. 
WBR (Wrecked But Rare) – Otherwise known as a Starter Copy. Not cracked, but a starter copy.


Shipping Info:
We ship on Mondays and Thursdays. All auctions end on Sunday evening PST, so if payment is received by Monday 2PM PST your item will likely be shipped out. If not, item will ship the following Thursday if payment is received by then.
All LPs are professionally packed and shipped in sturdy record mailers with a double layer of bubble wrap. I take great care in packing items to avoid bending and seam splits during shipment.

• Each additional LP for Media Mail is $1.00. A 2-LP set counts as two records.
• Each additional LP for Priority mail is $2.00.
