Description
Up for auction is a very clean copy of the super rare seminal punk classic by The Dead Boys "Young Loud And Snotty" originally released in the U.S. on Sire Records (SR 6038) in 1977. This is a guaranteed, authentic first U.S. pressing, not a cheap reissue or import like most for sale on eBay. Still in opened original factory shrink wrap. Authentic "Sterling Sound" high quality master recording, as are all original pressings. Includes the punk classic "Sonic Reducer". Vinyl comes in a poly-lined audiophile protective inner sleeve.
This copy has the correct first pressing Matrix markings: SR-1-6038-RE1-LW1 STERLING SR-2-6038-LW1 STERLING
Cover is in very nice condition, protected by the original, opened original factory shrink wrap. Shrink is still in very good condition, though it is torn a couple inches at the top and bottom near the right side opening, and there is some minor rubbing of the top and bottom seams where the shrink has opened. Otherwise the cover is super clean. No ring wear (the ring wear in the photo is actually on the shrink wrap, not the cover itself). Corners are sharp, not bumped. Right edge of opening near top shows minor wear, nothing serious (see photo). Factory cut mark on bottom seam near spine (very common with this album as it did not sell very many copies that were originally pressed). Overall, a very well-preserved example of this cover--most copies you'll find have been seriously worn and beat up. Grade the cover Near Mint Minus/Excellent Plus (NM-/EX+).
The vinyl is in very clean condition, retaining its original high gloss shine. No obvious scratches, no scuffs, no extraneous needle marks. Some signs of having been taken in and out of original paper inner sleeve a few times. Labels are bright and clean, only a couple faint signs of spindle trails--clearly hasn't been played much previously. Very well-preserved vinyl. Probably has been played only a couple times--obviously handled very carefully. Grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus (NM-).
