Absolutely beautiful copy of the rare original 1962 pressing of Debussy's Nocturnes and Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe suite, conducted by Paul Paray on Mercury Living Presence Stereo LP SR-90281. Color-back laminated cover and original plum labels with RFR-1 stamps. This is one of the best of all Mercury LPs from their glory years, and is often included in lists of the greatest audiophile recordings ever made, including the famed TAS list. I must say that it is an incredible experience to hear, especially on a beautiful original copy like this one. The disc plays just about flawlessly and truly beautifully. There are a couple of entirely superficial scuffs but they are not scratches and do not affect the play in the least. It plays just gorgeously. Really it is easy to hear why this record is so lauded when you hear his copy. The cover has a couple of slightly bumped corners, one at the top right and one at the lower left. There is a soft crease at the top one and a little wrinkling at the bottom one. Neither are very bad, and the shiny cover is still just beautiful, and fully intact with no seam splits or markings or mildew smell. This is a truly top copy of this rare classic. Hard to beat.
