This introduction being an explanation and analysis of Wagner's

system of leitmotifs by Derek Cooke, with 193 music examples

either extracted from the complete recording or specially recorded

for this production. This set also incorporates two additional works

which draw on the musical material of 'The Ring' -

Siegfried Idyll and KinderKatechismus.

This box set weighs nearly 11 kilos, the outer box weighs over 3.5 kilos. Therefore the postage is very

expensive. Ebay on its listings only allows me to charge £4.00 for UK delivery. I will expect any UK

purchaser to pay full amount required to post this very heavy item by Parcelforce if not collected.

Due to weight of box sets I cannot usually combine for international multi item winners.

If you purchase a number of sets and you wish to collect them personally

or if you wish to organise and pay for a courier in UK - that is fine by me.

My Record Grading Guide

M = MINT

Record will be unplayed with perfect shiny unblemished surface and is in

perfect condition. I never use this grading unless record is factory sealed

NM = NEAR MINT

Record is similar to MINT, is flawless and is in a new shiny and bright

looking state with no surface damage at all, may possibly have a few

spindle marks and should play perfectly.

EX = EXCELLENT

Record shows very minor signs of having been handled with very light

inconsequential wear, may have light scuff marks, may have a few of the

very lightest of hairline surface marks that do not affect quality of sound.

Will have a bright, shiny surface and should play perfectly.

VG = VERY GOOD

Record shows signs of having been played many times with scuff marks

and possibly one or two light scratch(es) that may produce

repetitive light 'ticks' - if so details will appear within listing.

Extremely rare for me to list and offer records with this grading.
