Description
Alfredo Campoli plays the Mendelssohn Concerto for Violin in E Minor, op. 64 and The Scottish Fantasia op. 46 of Bruch. Sir Adrian Boult conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra. A perfect match between the "Bel Canto" style of Campoli and these lyric works. The violin is realy singing. A true stunning performance!!! A rare and hard to find SXL.
Decca UK WB GR ED 1 with "ORINAL RECORDING" at 10 o'clock. Cat. SXL 2026 ZAL 4055/56 - 4E/1E. Cover EX- (some shelf and ringwear and a sign of a sticker on the back of cover, na damage, so nothing serious). This is the first cover (to my knowledge a Blue Back Border does not exists for this particular item). Record EX++ ( a very small mark at the beginning of the Scottish Fantasia causes 12 soft tics. The record has no hairlines etc. and hardly noticable spindle wear)
