Bizet - Carmen and L´Arlesienne Suites (DECCA SXL 2037, stereo, UK 1958/9)

Ernest Ansermet conducting L´Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

Rare ORIGINAL UK stereo LP, very early pressing. Includes original polylined DECCA inner sleeve. Black-silver wideband grooved labels with "Original recording by" around 10 o´clock and ffss-Logo at 12 o´clock. Matrix info: side 1: ZAL-4095-3E, side 2: ZAL-4096-2E (and crossed-out ZAL-4098-2E below). Front-laminated flipback cover (black back) with printing info "Printed in England J.P.59.11 R" on bottom left flipback part (and vintage price tag dated 3/60 near upper left corner).

Condition cover: unfortunately bottom right flipback part (appr. 5") on back is missing/torn off (see photo), close to EX otherwise with little dirtwear/browning on unlaminated back, few light (lamination) creases, little weat at edges, front lamination has lifted in a small part near upper right corner   

Condition labels:     EX  (some spindle marks, otherwise clean) 

Condition record:   glossy surface, has a couple of hairlines and surface scuffs (esp. side 1), plays mostly EX or better with bright and clean sound but also has some parts with light background crackle and/or a couple of consecutive light clicks

All items are send in solid cardboard mailers especially designed for shipping records with additional layer(s) of cardboard for stiffening and protection. I don´t use flimsy wrappers or aircraft pockets. Vinyl (protected by inner sleeve) will be removed from cover to prevent seam splits. Extra strong packaging (double mailers etc.) is available on request but will probably cause higher postage, please ask before paying if interested. 

Payment is expected within 1 week after the auction´s close.

Grading: All items are graded visually (under strong light source) and acoustically (at least spot checked). I use the standard grading system (M/NM/EX/VG/G...) to give an overall impression of the item´s condition added by a more precise statement of all occurring defects. I´ll only grade a record (or cover)as MINT if it is visually immaculate and unplayed (or if I´m sure that it was only played 2 or 3 times). All my gradings are guaranteed, if you´re not satisfied please contact me, send the record back and you´ll receive full refund (less postage). So bid with confidence.
