vinyl LP on DECCA SXL 2044 Uk pressing 1958
I have acquired a large classical collection of wonderful recordings from a very keen and dedicated collector.
They are all mostly from the late 50s to mid 60s - Something of a Golden Age in Classical recording
All records are inspected very carefully and Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.
I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare
when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

Sleeve Just Under EXCELLENT - laminated - front sleeve featuring famous English ballerina Alicia Markova . with just a slight
crease in lower left corner and faint lifting of the laminate on lower edge where it wraps around to rear sleeve. For back sleeve
see Photo 2 Slight browning of the laminate on rear edges and a very tiny and faint price mark in ink on top right corner
Comes complete with DECCA FFFS company inner sleeve
Chopin’s Les Sylphides has quite a complex history - first appearing in 1894 as Chopiniana
The Ballet first appeared in its most famous form in 1909 with Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes
This recording Features Orchestrations by Roy Douglas .
Delibes La source ( the Spring)was first produced in 1866
A rare and highly regarded recording brilliantly conducted by Peter Maag
with superb Sound Quality as you would expect from A DECCA pressing from this era.
