DECCA SXL 2060 Mendelssohn A Midsummer Night's Dream Peter Maag / LSO ED1 Original Recording Text Blue Back Scalloped Flip Back Sleeve ZAL-3559-2K ZAL-3560-1E
VINYL Side 1. VG+ A small pressing fault at the start causes a few very light "thuds" for about 20 revolutions. There are a few wispy paper scuffs and sleeve removal marks that are mostly silent however there is 1 click near the start and a very slight skip a few revolutions on. The rest of the side plays excellent. Side 2. EX- The vinyl looks excellent apart from one slight hairline that causes 22 low level clicks that aren't too distressing and the rest of the side plays fine. Both labels are excellent with little to fault. Sleeve VG+ This is the first sleeve with the thin card and scalloped flip backs. It also has the all important blue border. The VG+ grading is very conservative as there isn't too much wrong with what is a very fragile sleeve. The back is still nice and white with no writing, rips or other noticeable fault. The opening edges are still pretty straight with only slight feathering. There are a few light thumbnail creases and a chip to the front top right corner. Also a little light ring wear and slight scuff to the front top centre. Still a very presentable sleeve better than most. Original Decca blue FFSS inner sleeve in excellent condition. A very rare record that has been conservatively graded.
