  DECCA SXL 2084-5 WIDE BAND GROOVED "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY THE DECCA RECORD CO LTD LONDON" AND MADE IN ENGLAND ON LABEL, MATRIX No's ZAL-3585-1K SIDE ONE ZAL 3586-3E SIDE TWO, ZAL-3587-5K SIDE THREE AND ZAL-3588-1K ON SIDE FOUR

RARE FIRST LABEL FROM 1959, EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE  AND TRUE AUDIOPHILE SOUND.

THIS IS A VERY HARD TO FIND RECORDING AND AS I AM SURE ANY OF YOU WATCHING THIS ITEM WILL KNOW THESE DECCA RECORDINGS IN THE 2000 AND 6000 SERIES ARE REGARDED AS SOME OF THE FINEST RECORDINGS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC EVER PUT TO WAX.

VINYL- I WOULD HAVE GRADED THESE DISCS AS NEAR MINT BUT FOR SLIGHT PAPER SCUFF ON SIDE 4( VERY LIGHT ) THE VINYL IS NICE AND SHINY AND THE LABELS ARE LIKE NEW.

SLEEVE - THE BOX IS HINGED AND IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. THE GLOSS ON COVER PHOTO IS AS SHINY AS WHEN NEW AND NO SCUFFS ON EDGING. LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN IN A TIME WARP!

THE ONLY DOWN SIDE TO THIS PACKAGE IS THE INSERT GIVING DETAILS OF OPERA SCENES ETC THERE IS SOME AGE DISCOLOURATION PARTICULARLY ON THE REVERSE BUT IT IS ALL READABLE  AND UNTORN.
