DECCA SXL 2135
MOZART Symphony No. 32 in G major (K.318) Symphony No. 38 in D major "Prague" (K.504)
The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by PETER MAAG
This is the "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" wide band grooved ED1 label. Record comes complete with original Decca FFSS inner sleeve.
The cover is the Light Blue version of this release. From looking at the past auctions on Popsike, it would seem that only about one in five have this rarer version of the cover, with most being printed a darker blue.
Regarding pricing, I have had a good look through the history on Popsike, and the average of the past ten sales of this record is about £115. The maximum it has fetched is £365, but in the interests of not mucking anyone about and hopefully for a fast turnover, I have priced this below the recent average.
GRADING:
Sleeve: VERY GOOD PLUS discolouration from sellotape on rear, very slight on front. Slight foxing on rear. Lamination intact. Please see photos. I was tempted to class this as EXC-, but decided I would rather have you be slightly pleased with grading than risk any disappointment. Obviously this is all very subjective, but I do my best...!
Record: EXCELLENT MINUS record shows some scuff marks but these are non-sounding and in angled light it can be seen that they are superficial and do not affect the groove. There are three consecutive pops near the beginning of side 2, otherwise the record sounds good with some background hiss and crackle.
This record has been cleaned using an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine and is supplied in a MoFi Original Master Sleeve, as can be seen in the photographs.
This will be sent in a good thick cardboard mailer.
