Condition
?Record- There are lots of light surface marks and light hairlines to both sides with inner sleeve removal marks noticed, however despite this it doesnt appear that any of these are feelable. On futher inspection there is a light edge warp (please see photographs for a visual), it is quite sublte and barely noticeable. I decided to play the record through both side so as to be able to give a play grade.
As the record has a slight edge warp, it did effected the audio moderately, on side one for from the run in there was some light stylus movement which created a sweeping sound moderate to light, intermitenty, for approx 1 minute 30 seconds, no skipping or jumping. Once through this the stylus tracked normally and the audio was no longer effected, this was ther same for side 2 for a similar period of time through the same area. Other than these two key areas, generally speaking the record played very well, there is some light surface noise noticed in quiet passages, occasional pops and minor surface noises but for the most part the audio was very clear without sticking jumps or anyithing heavily distracting. I am sure a good clean will enhance the audio further. Probably not one for the pureists but represents an oppurtunity to get this incredibly rare record at an affordable price.
Sleeve- The sleeve is one of the early decca thin gauge sleeves with scalloped flipbacks that are prone to wear, this has survived quite well, clean with some light toning, staining and discolouration to the back, some light scuffs and minor storage wear, with some edge rubbing and shelf wear. The front presents rather well, clean with some moderate creasing. with a small repaired tear to the lower opening corner area, with a small closed tear on the back opening edge. Generally a very good sleeve.
