Description
Wilhelm Backhaus plays the Beethoven Piano Sonatas No. 21, op. 53 ("Waldstein") and No. 23, op. 57 ("Appassionata") for piano solo. A very hard to find record!!!
Decca SXL WB gr UK. "Original Recording" at 10 o' clock. Cat: SXL 2241 ZAL 4678/79 - 1E/1E. Cover VG++ (minor shelf, some ring wear on the back and a very small tear at the opening of the front). Record EX+ (several superficial harmless hairlines and a small harmless mark. Some flaws which is quite common in the pressing of the old Decca's and harmless. Again all this is harmless. The record plays much better than EX+).
