Please remember that after washing every record on the Audio Desk Systeme Gläss machine, I listen to the records IN THEIR ENTIRETY! No sampling or guesswork! Any defects will be fully highlighted.
1 GENERAL APPEARANCE OF PLAYING SURFACES
Several paper scuffs both sides.
On side 1 there are two light fingernail marks at 4 o´clock and two small deeper marks at 3 o´clock about a third of the way in from the edge. They are non sounding. I played the whole section through again just to make sure. Another small non sounding mark at 10 o´clock. Side 2 has no marks other than paper scuffs.
2 CONDITION OF LABELS
Labels fine, a few long spindle marks both sides.
3 COVER
Some lifting of laminate near spine. Three thumb creases near the open edge have caused some rippling of the laminate. Some wear to corners near open edge. Other two corners good. Slight pressure ring. Back a little yellow with age.
I think a fair grading would be EX-

Original Decca ffss inner sleeve.
5 LISTENING NOTES
Side 1
Some occasional very soft clicks and pops for the first twenty seconds, otherwise very fine quiet playing surfaces. No recurring scratches or ticks.
Solo piano music is very unforgiving, as there is no orchestral accompaniment to mask any background noise, but I was very impressed with the quality of this record. Yes there are some isolated soft clicks here and there, but for the most part the playing surfaces are very quiet indeed.
I grade this side EX
Side 2
A few very soft clicks in the allegro section of Liebestraum, and two clicks about thirty seconds from the end of Gnomenreigen. Background noise is minimal. Even the occasional clicks are very soft.

RECORD CLEANING AND ASSESSMENT
I clean all 12 inch vinyl records on the Audio Desk Systeme Gläss machine, at the longest setting. I then physically examine the record with a magnifying glass for any visible defects.
10 inch and 7 inch vinyl and all shellac records are hand cleaned in warm water with a non corrosive cleaning agent.
Every record is then played IN ITS ENTIRETY, no sampling or guess-work. When you buy a record from me, it will be exactly as described. You can be sure that every flaw or defect will have been heard and will be specifically mentioned in my review.
I attempt to give an honest grading, based on internationally accepted grading standards. I will also give an honest opinion as to the quality of the cover and inner sleeve if appropriate.
LISTENING NOTES
These are my personal opinions on the quality of the sound, the performance, and background information about the recording where possible. I hope you find my comments helpful.
PACKAGING AND DESPATCH
All records are carefully packaged in strong cardboard cruciform boxes with supporting inserts. I supply a fresh inner sleeve and the original where it exists. A small post-it note on the inner sleeve gives details of the date and reference number of my cleaning and assessment, should you want to come back to me for more information. I recommend that you take out shipping insurance for higher value records.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY RECORDS
I will be putting small amounts of records up for auction at regular intervals over the coming months. These records are my personal choices, and I have selected them for a number of reasons. The music itself, the quality of the performance, its rarity and desirability, or just because I find a particular record interesting or unusual.
