One of a handful of early stereo rarities we have just had in, see our me page for more.
UK DECCA SXL 6418 Krips, Mehta Schubert, von Einem Wide Band ffss circle 1st label, amongst the last ever of these as original issues. The von Einem is a very attractive work, composed in 1961 but still melodic in a late romantic to modernist way, along the mahler to Stravinsky axis. Krips and the VPo give us a beauty of a Schubert Unfinished to the other side. A shallow mark to the first movement of the 1st side is very background if heard.
This clean low plays 1st pressing dates from the album's release in 1969. There are no splits, creases, pen or dirt to the sleeve, and the labels are also clean, the record is flat. The playgrade is near mint using a high quality moving coil cartridge through a high end stereo system - heard all of the von Einem out of curiosity and tested areas of the Schubert.
When we post this to you, it will be housed in a new poly outer - we also pack in hard card custom made new boxes.
