Description

Rare Decca UK stereo ffss LP, SXL 2042, 1K/5E matrix suffixes, 'Original Recording By...' on label rim, Stravinsky, Rite of Spring, OSR conducted by Ernest Ansermet.?

Front-laminated, blue border back flip back sleeve is in very nice condition indeed. It has a little light ringwear, a little laminate coming away at the opening edge, and a tiny amount of corner wear, but flipbacks are beautifully intact, colour and structure are wonderful, and the whole sleeve is very clean indeed. Overall, the sleeve grades EX+.

Vinyl is in equally lovely condition. There is a tiny line about one third of the way through side 1 which causes a few very light clicks in quite a loud passage of music, so not obtrusive. There is also a little background noise at the start of each side which very quickly dissipates to reveal that unmistakeable Decca 'sound', clean, clear audio, beautifully recorded and pressed onto quality vinyl. A super copy that grades EX+.
