Description

Stunning Original True 1969 UK 1st Pressing 'Deep Purple' by Deep Purple on Extra Thick & Chunky 1st Press Vinyl!!! With Orig. Yellow Harvest Record Labels w/ No EMI Box!!! Mega Rare A1//B1 1st Press Matrix and 1G//1G Stampers!!! Complete with 1st Press Laminated E.J. Day Gatefold Sleeve!!! A Beautiful UK Earliest 1st Pressing in Superb Condition!!!

You are bidding on a very special auction here - a truly stunning  ORIGINAL Earliest  UK 1969 1st Pressing of this classic Deep Purple album on Harvest!!! Now, as a later pressing this album is still relatively easy to find, however what makes this record so MEGA RARE is that it is the TRUE UK 1st pressing with NO EMI box on the centre labels & the 1st press sleeve!!! What's more, it can be identified as the EARLIEST UK 1st pressing by the 1G//1G mother stampers!!! You will be very hard pushed to find another true earliest UK 1st again, let alone in this kind of condition!!!Whoever wins this auction can rest assured that they will have one of the rarest Deep Purple UK pressings there is. I rate this record as rare as the Parlophone 'Shades Of...' LP!!! This is an absolutely essential record for any high grade psych collection - especially in this condition!!!

The first thing you notice about this 1968 UK 1st pressing is its incredible thickness and weight - it is very, very heavy!!! As you'd expect, the cool 1st press Harvest centre labels are in Stunning condition!!! There are NO Scribbles. NO lifting or Bubbling, NO unwanted writing/scribbles and just the lightest spindle lines only visible when holding the record angled against light.  The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix are also Mint-!!! Again, I cannot emphasise how very difficult it is to find the earliest UK Harvest 1st press copies with 1G//1G stampers, let alone ones that have not been played to death, there were not many made of these earliest 1G/1G 1st presses and on the rare occasions that the do turn up they are full of nasty scratches and gouges. This one is NOT!!! It looks absolutely stunning with a deep shine and just has just one superficial waxy line on side 2 which in no way sounds. This record has clearly only seen a handful of plays on a turntable!!! The quality thick & chunky 1st press vinyl looks and sounds absolutely stunning!!! And remember - this is the earliest 1st press, straight from the master sounding raw, louder, more defined and more punchy than all the weaker later re-pressings.  It is a beautiful record and will grace any high grade any 1960's 1st press Psych/Rock collection and it easily grades as Ex++  a fantastic looking record!!!

The original 1st press E. J. Day thickly laminated gatefold sleeve is also in super condition!!! It has retained all it stiffness (not gone floppy and lifeless like most around today) and has NO Tears, and very little of the Seam Wear so common to this sleeve!!! There is No Seam splitting and the thick 1st press laminate is in beautifully preserved condition, crystal clear and really allowing the sharply defining black & white images of the cool artwork!!! The sleeve has NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There seams are lovely and there is just some light wear to the corners. A beautiful example of this fragile 1st press sleeve which easily grades as Excellent!!! Believe me, like all my other records this is in no way over-graded!!! Of course this comes with its original 1st issue 'patents' & 'Made in great Britain' inner sleeve!!! A truly beautiful example of a very, very rare record!!! Don't miss this one!!!

I have tried to show you the record from all angles - there's nothing to hide!!! If you are not sure of anything just email me - I will be happy to help. Don't underestimate the rarity of this LP - finding a UK 1st press of this LP in this kind of condition is impossible today!!! Good Luck!!!

We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
