Description
This is the original UK LP by DEEP PURPLE, WHO DO WE THINK WE ARE!, 1973 RARE very 1st Press on the PURPLE label TPSA 7508, comes complete with original UK 1st issue lyric insert.
The label's have the 'GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD' rim credits on the label
Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1:- TPSA 7508 A-1U, SIDE 2:- TPSA 7508 B-1U
Stamper codes are, SIDE 1:- 2 / GAD, SIDE 2:- 5 / GAA
And to complete the indentification of this very 1st Pressing is:-
Side 1 has eteched in the run-off:- PORKY, Side 2:- PURPLE PECKIE
The original 1973 UK 1st issue Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover is EX+ condition, lovely and clean, the thickly laminated outside of the cover is wonderfully clean, maintaining all it's original bright vibrant colour, the lush glossy lamiantion is superb!. The inside is nice and clean, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits. The spine is lovely and broad, and perfectly readable, would be graded alot higher but for minimal wear to the covers.
The vinyl is in EX+++ / Near MINT condition, lovely and clean, maintaining all it's original gleaming shine and lustre. I have played both sides, (very carefully), and im delighted to say that from start to finish the vinyl plays Near Mint!, playing with super crisp clear clarity!, the quality of the Stereo on the 1st pressing, is outstanding!!!!, (Cut by 'PORKIE' is not surprising!) playing with such depth and warmth!, STUNNING!.
Side 1's label is Near MINT!, lovely and clean, with all its original bright vibrant colour, Side 2's label is EX+, only a very light stain on the right of the spindle hole and a light small stain to the left of the spindle hole, not visually intrusive, both label's have no unwnated writing, the centre spindle hole show little or no wear.
The vinyl is housed in it's original 1973 UK 1st issue EMI issure white inner sleeve, some came with polythene lined linner sleeves, some came with this standard EMI issue sleeve. The inner sleeve is lovely and clean, no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
The rare original 1973 UK 1st issue lyric/insert is in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean, no unwanted writing.
