DEEP PURPLE “H-BOMB” ULTRA-RARE LIVE (1970) vinyl LP (Kustom) EX/EX
Serial Number: ASC-001; matrix numbers on vinyl: side1: 2001-A; side 2: 2001-B.
The album and sleeve are EX / EX. It is unmarked with no visible scratches, and plays through both sides without any surface noise or blips.
This is the very rare limited edition legendary live LP released in 1970, featuring the classic Gillan – Lord – Blackmore – Glover – Paice line up in top form, just after the release of “Deep Purple - In Rock”, one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
The record is from my personal collection and was purchased by me at its time of first release, and is thus not a recent foreign copy.
Legend claims that it is the first-ever live album by Purple to be released, featuring their concert on July 10th 1970 at the Reiterstadion, Aachen, Germany.
The album’s plain unlaminated white sleeve features a suitably purple H-BOMB illustration on the front, and a plain unprinted rear cover. New plain white inner sleeve.
The yellow album labels have black printed titling & KUSTOM REKORDS “logo” are both very clean & unmarked.
Side One: “Improvisations in Four Movements”
(a) Black Night - featuring solos from Blackmore (2) & Lord, Gillan also on top form.
(b) Paint It Black featuring deconstructions by Lord & Blackmore, great drum solo from Paice.
Side Two: “Spontaneously Alive In Five Movements”
(a) Wring That Neck – the classic early instrumental, with great unison playing. It’s mainly a showcase for superb extended solos by the late, great Jon Lord, even featuring some heavy gothic chords on a snatch of “Three Blind Mice” – he also plays some classical references before Blackmore’s finale.
The album will be supplied with a new, high grade plain white paper inner sleeve and also a 200g clear plastic protective sleeve. That’s how I look after my own records!
The record will be packed for posting with the record and inner sleeve separated to prevent any “knifing”, with a 200g clear sleeve and stiff cards to protect the original sleeve.
Payment via PayPal is preferred; otherwise the winning bidder can pay cash on collection, cheque (cleared before despatch or collection) or Banker’s Draft.
There is no “Buy It Now” option on this record – all collectors have an equal chance to make their winning bid for this very rare LP.
Please pay within 3 days – otherwise the record may be re-listed.
A ‘no returns’ policy applies and this auction is open to UK BIDDERS ONLY – thanks for looking.
Happy bidding – good luck!
