DEEP PURPLE - IN ROCK - 1970 HARVEST UK FIRST PRESSING - FABULOUS! LP EXCELLENT COPY: This is your chance to bid on this classic album by DEEP PURPLE. For sale here is the fourth studio album by DEEP PURPLE. It was the first to feature the classic "MARK II" line-up featuring IAN GILLAN & ROGER GLOVER. The album was released in the UK on the highly collectable HARVEST label in June 1970. This is an original 1970 UK pressing. The label states "MADE IN GT. BRITAIN". It is pressed on thick vinyl. The laminated gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with clear spine text and sharp edges - PLEASE SEE PHOTOS BELOW. THIS IS NOT A PARTICULARLY RARE RECORD BUT IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION. The stamped matrix numbers are as follows: Side One : SHVL 777 A-2 Side Two : SHVL 777 B-1 THIS IS A FABULOUS EXAMPLE OF AN ORIGINAL EARLY UK PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM. - Fantastic for a record that is 45 years old.
- There are some very light surface marks but you will be hard pressed to find a better copy.
- This record looks as though it could have been bought last week. AMAZING.
- It looks so nice & flat.
- There are no rips & no writing on it.
- The front & rear of the cover has very shiny laminate.
- The opening edge is nice and sharp & straight.
- There is the slightest hint on the rear cover of an impression of where the record has sat in the sleeve but it is not very noticeable.
- The only real blemish is a small crease in the top right hand corner of the front cover.
- Very minor edge & corner wear in places (see photos).
- The cover is graded as EXCELLENT+
- There is some creasing but it is still in great condition.
- The sleeve states "Made and Printed in Great Britain".
It will be properly packaged. All standard vinyl items are removed from their outer sleeves before transit to protect the outer sleeve edges.
