3ChordRecords is offering for sale an Excellent/Near Mint original UK First Press LP by Deep Purple "In Rock" on EMI Records.
Cat No. SHVL 777
The original disc is pressed on thick Black Vinyl and is in excellent plus condition, the record retains all of its original sheen and even under bright halogen lights there are only a small number of light hairline marks visible, the labels are excellent plus. The record comes in the original patented white paper/pvc inner sleeve advertising other EMI releases, patent no's are 1,125,555 and 1,072,844, the inner sleeve has a 4 digit catalogue number written neatly in the top corner and a small tear to one edge. The original laminated gatefold picture sleeve is stunning Excellent plus/Near Mint condition retaining all of its shop new gloss, there are one or two small light creases in the laminate but no missing laminate or areas of cracking/lift. The spine is clean and crisp and the opening edges are as new, the inner of the gatefold shows the Garrod and Lofthouse credit and patent no. 943,895, there is no wear on the inner pictures and lyrics. In the top right hand corner the glue to the seam has stopped sticking, there is no damage but the cover could be reglued to be as new.
