PARLOPHONE LABEL 1968 ORIGINAL FIRST UK BLACK & YELLOW STEREO PRESSING WITH NO SOLD IN THE UK LABEL TEXT WITH GARROD & LOFTHOUSE PATENTS PENDING FILE UNDER POP FRONT LAMINATED FLIP BACK SINGLE SLEEVE AND PURPLE AND WHITE ADVERTISING INNER, IN GOOD TO VERY GOOD PLAYING CONDITION. NO STICKS OR SKIPS BUT THERE IS CRACKLE AND POPS. SO NOT SUITABLE FOR A FUSSY COLLECTOR.

Released in 1968 on the yellow and black PARLOPHONE label, I am offering today this extremely rare original first UK STEREO pressing of this DEEP PURPLE stunning debut album titled "SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE". This is a phantom to Purple collectors as it sold in such small quantity and every track is a winner. This vinyl shows lots of light scuffs and light scratches which cause crackles and pops but no sticks or skips.

The album is a rare first UK pressing with NO "SOLD IN UK SUBJECT TO RETAIL PRICE CONDITIONS" text

The album comes complete with Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending "file under pop" front laminated flip back single sleeve which is in cleaner than most condition with no stickers and no unwanted writing etc but shows some light wear to the bottom flip back but still a very respectable example.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and apart from it being a very enjoyable listen, I am pleased to say that it plays well with absolutely no sticks or skips etc, but there is some light crackle and pops so if you are fussy this will not be for you.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT MINT OR EXCELLENT BUT GOOD TO VERY GOOD. A GREAT ADDITION FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO PAY £400+ FOR A TOP COPY.  

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows quite a few light scuffs and scratches but overall is a good to very good player. with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc and a vibrant sound. 

The SLEEVE, The Garrod & Lofthouse Patents pending file under pop front laminated flip back single sleeve is in very clean condition with no stickers splits or unwanted writing etc but there is some wear to the bottom flip back.  

The LABELS, The first issue Black & Yellow PARLOPHONE labels which omit the SOLD IN THE UK text are very clean, Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The original purple & white company inner is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc but is showing a small name in the top corner.

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
