Description
Up for auction is a RARE 2-sided 45 rpm 10" acetate record single from THE DEIRDRE WILSON TABAC.
The DEIRDRE WILSON TABAC (late 60s / early 70s group ) were a great soul based group with influences from jazz and psych - creating an excellent sound that has drawn fairly recent acclaim from music fans of all of the prior mentioned genres via blogs. The recent clamor is not just for their insanely funky / break beat friendly version of the Beatles "Get Back", but of several of their other cuts from their sole lp (of which this was from). A sort of lost / underappreciated diamond in the rough gaining some new fans via the internet age!
This is for their single that featured a super funky version of the Beatles "Get Back" and a nice, faithful cover of the Otis Redding classic "Dock Of The Bay"

This cut was recorded and eventually used for their 1970 45 rpm single.
This is an Original US RCA Pressing.
CONDITION:
Acetate grooves are in an overall clean and in Visual EX (Excellent -- just below Near Mint) Grade condition.
Plays great!
Please note, As with all acetates, it should be played sparingly!
RCA label in great condition.
Comes with its original acetate sleeve and is in overall nice condition.
This acetate was from a larger collection of Philadelphia / New York City based recording producer -- Sonny Casella , of whom did the production, writing , and arranging work for The Deirdre Wilson Tabac (and was apparently the drummer as well) .
