Description
SHANNON, DEL: Break Up/Why Don't You Tell Him (Stateside HSSA 5042, NETHERLANDS 1965) One of the best 45's from Del's 1965-1967 peak period. "Break Up" is one of his all-time fave songs with his incredible trademark vocals, clattering tambourine backing and amazing organ solo. "Why Don't You Tell Him" is great jangly pop. Very rare Dutch picture sleeve issue (I think Italy was the only other country that released this 45 with PS). Strict grading. Record(/Sleeve) = VG++/VG++
I use the standard grading system, so M (mint), EX (excellent), VG (very good), G (good) etc. +(+)/-(-) = slightly better/worse then... Some Abbreviations that I use: wo(b)c = writing on (back)cover; wol = writing on label; toc/tol = tape on cover/label; rw = ringwear; soc/sol = sticker on cover/label; nc = no center; co(h) = cut out (hole).
