Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "The Vintage Years" - by Del Shannon on the Sire Records label (SASH 3708-2), in beautiful original sound, released in 1975. CONDITION: JACKET - VG++ (Gatefold cover is spectacular, and is marred only by light edge and corner wear; also has Promo Only gold stamp on front and Bug Music sticker on back; also has circles around 6 songs listed on back cover - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint (Sire Record's shiny and glowing white-label promotional vinyl has virtually no marks - Visually Graded under custom spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: This is the finest copy I have ever seen of one of the best "Greatest Hits" albums ever produced. Pressed in original sound on pure deep-groove vinyl, the records are unmarked. The sound is astonishingly clear and perfectly defined, while retaining the warmth we so love in vinyl. Nice extensive biographical and discographical notes by Greg Shaw, plus black & white photos that include Del meeting the Beatles. Special bonus is two letterhead sheets from Bug Music, one with a note from Fred Bourgoise and the other with the lyrics to "I Go to Pieces." Please don't miss this sensational package. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
