Description
Edgar F Penzig was one of my father’s close friends and I met him on numerous occasions over the years. This is a very rare record self published by Edgar F Penzig and Dell Dudenhoeffer (who is still alive) sings his songs. First printed in 1975 on EFP 001-1975.
Sleeve is in NEAR MINT condition with some light scratching on her face on cover it actually looks like the bits have peeled lightly like all records did in the 1970’s. Record is in MINT condition. He has signed his first name “Edgar Lots Of Love To You All” dated 1976 which he did for close friends.
As everyone knows Edgar Penzig was the authoritarian on Australian Bushrangers and wrote numerous books and also appeared on the ABC show “Collectors” with his stories & memorabilia. He first met my father in FEBRUARY 1961 and wrote an article about my father’s collecting in Australian “Angler’s Digest & Shooter’s Monthly” dated 1961 and the 2 page article is shown in scan BUT is not included in auction as its part of our family collection. What a life and what a character Edgar was and I still remember him coming to our house when we were little kids driving his HUGE lolly truck in the late 1960’s and giving us boxes of lollies!!
I also have listed a RARE first self published booklet by Edgar “Under Five Stars A Collection Of Australian Verse” and it is also signed to my family.
