DELROY WILSON: GOOD ALL OVER
1st Edition Coxsone Blue Labelled Rocksteady LP in superb condition throughout.
“From a very young age, it was apparent that Delroy Wilson was a special talent. His ability to translate the styles of U.S. soul singers like Bill Withers into a Jamaican context helped usher in the rocksteady and (at times, anyway) lovers rock scenes. And if that weren't enough, his youthful good looks helped propel him to a level of stardom almost unparalleled at the time. Fans of the more soulful side of rocksteady (Slim Smith, Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe) should find this LP very rewarding, as Good All Over includes some of the best material of the genre. "Can't Stand It," "Don't Know," "I'm Not a King," and especially "Once Upon a Time" are all killers thanks to both Wilson's flawless delivery and some rock-solid rhythms (many of which are still in use to this day). This is an LP of exceptional quality from both an instrumental and vocal standpoint. Highly recommended.”

GRADING
SLEEVE: VG+
There are a couple of laminate wrinkles to the front at the spine and at the top right hand corner. The spine is nice and straight and true with no flattening or breaks. The unlaminated rear shows a little uniform discolouration but no staining or serious yellowing.
RECORD: VG+
There are a few light sleeve removal marks to both sides. These are, of course, not scratches or feelable marks. The record retains its original deep gloss. The entire LP sounds superb. There is some light intermittent crackle but this is only occasional and is unobtrusive and quiet. There are no nasty repetitive clicks or pops.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
