Description
First vinyl LP of incredible 1980's-1990's industrial synth wave pioneers, DEMENTIA PRECOX. An influence on countless bands in the intervening years, their LP, OF PARTS UNKNOWN, is a timeless classic of the genre and set the bar for industrial wave in their time. It's no exaggeration to say that Dementia Precox were way ahead of their time, and their off kilter, catchy, multi layered sound is impossible to fully describe. Though a huge influence on other bands, it's true to say that no one has ever sounded just like them.
This LP is MINT condition. It has never been played. How do I know how it sounds then? I have my own copy which I would never part with.
These LP's are RARE and next to impossible to find in MINT, unplayed condition. Automatic listing "Condition" states that this item is new, unused, unopened. It IS true that this LP is in new, unused condition, however it was never sealed in shrink wrap. The LP is covered by an open, mylar outer sleeve. This is how these independent release LP's were originally sold. A small side note: this was not Dementia's first vinyl release. Their first vinyl release was an EP entitled SCHP (1982). It's been a long time, but I believe OF PARTS UNKNOWN was released in 1985.
