DEMON FUZZ - AFREAKA!
original US 1970 JANUS JLS-3028 pressing
Yowza, here's a rare one: 1st press of this psychedelic funk classic new, in the original, unbroken factory wraps. Not the re-issue or later gate-fold version. I scored this this weekend from a former 1960s record store owner, who had kept this in storage in his basement for 45+ years. I bought ~50 of his late-60s new old-stock/still-in-shrink vinyl records, mostly funk and world-beat, completely cleaning me out in the process. I'm selling this gem so I can eat something besides vintage wax.
NEW / NEVER OPENED! What an amazing copy - no bends, dents, creases, edge chips, breaks, splits to sleeve. Cover is bright and unfaded - the 3rd and later pix were taken outdoors, so they are bleached-out, not the graphics. Center of cover has a strange drill hole (see pix), but doesn't appear to be punching through the wax - might have rotated out of sight though.
Shrink is unbroken and clean. There is a matte ring scuff to lower section, along with a stripe across front of plastic. No shrink split at sleeve opening. Corners are sharp, with only a mild chip/mild fray to lower right corner. Shrink has usual factory "H" wrap & breather holes, price sticker to right top, very minor accordion snag at back (see 10th pic) - absolutely no evidence of this ever having been opened or being a re-wrap.
Did I mention it's NEW, IN ORIGINAL UNBROKEN SHRINK?!
First two photos taken indoors, rest outside to avoid flash glare and really highlight any scuffing to shrink-wrap.
Will be mailed DOUBLE-BOXED, wax inside an LP mailer, all which is put into a larger padded cardboard record mailer box. You have the option of using media mail, but would strongly want you to consider the Priority Mail option, especially if outside the midwest mailing area. Local pick-up is free.
