Here's ANOTHER hard to find album in GREAT condition..
His only solo album and it's an absolute classic..Emotional and deep with inventive arragements and Dennis'wonderful vocals..It's streets better than anything the Beach Boys were doing at the time..
A real cult album and rightly so..With each play,this gets better and better!..
Issued by Caribou Records on 22nd August 1977..S CRB 81672..UK pressing in a non laminated gatefold sleeve..
The matrix numbers are A1/B3..It's almost certainly a first pressing as this was a poor seller and I can't imagine that it was re pressed..
The disc plays perfectly..It's got a clean,undistorted sound that reveals all the subtleness of the instrumentation..There are no clicks or pops and I noted no crackle eithe..It really does play well!..
It looks as good as it plays..It's clean and undamaged with no scratches or scuffs..It still has a great sheen as well..Even strong light reveals just a couple of light paper scuffs (probably from putting the record into the sleeve at the pressing plant!)..
The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps or dishing..
The labels are undamaged..There is NO spindle wear at all..I am convinced that I am the first person to have played this!..
The sleeve is EX minus..It has no serious defects or damage and it's plain to se that it has been well looked after and well stored as well..There is slight discolouring around the edges and on the "O" of "Wilson"..There is light wear to the top and bottom of the spine and there is minisicule rubbing to the edges on the back flap of the gatefold (only on this flap).The corners have the lightest wear that you could imagine..Apart from which,it's clean and tidy!..
It has no rips,tears,seam splits,stains, scribble,stickers or sellotape or other such defects...The spine is square and undamaged with clearly legible text..
The lyric insert has very slight ageing around the edges and a very small wrinkle to one of the top corners (It's so small,that I doubt it will show on the picture!)...
You are welcome to collect this in person or from The Southend Record Fair (11th May,8th June) and then the second Sunday in each month)..Where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...
