ON OFFER HERE IS WHAT IS UNQUESTIONABLY ONE OF THE HANDFUL OF RAREST & MOST OBSCURE WORLDWIDE ERIC CLAPTON / DEREK AND THE DOMNOS RELEASES. WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING, THE CLAPTON'S DISCOGRAPHY IS QUITE THE MINEFIELD TO NAVIGATE WITH ANY HOPE OF COMPLETENESS.
YET THIS RELEASE FULLY WARRANTS THIS CATEGORIZATION. FOR WHAT THIS RELEASE OFFERS IS TWO OF THE BANDS DEFINITIVE TRACKS, IN A LOUD VIBRANT MASTERING, PRESERVED ON MIRACULOUSLY WELL PRESERVED, AS NEW, ESSENTIALLY MINT VINYL.
THE 45 IS HOUSED IN A BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED PICTURE SLEEVE, WHICH DISAPPEARED IMMEDIATELY FROM STORE SHELVES UPON INITIAL RELEASE. THIS CLASSIC PICTURE SLEEVE REMAINS ONE OF THE BAND'S MOST DESIRABLE ARTIFACTS. ESPECIALLY IN THE STUNNING, MINT - CONDITION THAT THIS EXAMPLE IS IN.
The front of the sleeve is in superb Mint - condition, the sleeve quite clean & unmarked. The back of the sleeve is in similar condition, clean & clear.
The vinyl warrants a grading of Mint-, there is essentially NO evidence of play revealed by a close appraisal both sides of the disc. I suspect some would grade it closer to Mint. I prefer to grade a bit more conservatively. There are NO SCRATCHES of any kind, it is an extremely nice condition condition vinyl, which plays superbly, with extraordinary power, warmth & detail.
The labels are bright & clean . See the photo's for evidence of this.
This is an excellent condition copy of an extremely rare ERIC CLAPTON / DEREK AND THE DOMINOS 45 with an exclusive picture sleeve , who's to say when or if a cleaner copy may be showing up?
