Jeden Dienstag zwischen 19 und 20 Uhr werde ich alte Punk, Oi, Hardcore und Powerpop Platten anbieten

 

Legendary and very melodic Hardcore Punk classic from Ronald Reagan country. Original first US pressing in original cardboard sleeve. Released on famous West Coast label ‘New Alliance’ in 1982 (catalogue number NAR-012). Complete with lyric sheet. This LP was given 9/10 by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk). The same sold on eBay, in October, for $123 (US). Here’s the comment taken from the FLEX:

 

  • Some copies of the original press have a lyric sheet
  • Their first LP, recorded before Milo went to college and the band was on hiatus. Snotty, noisy and melodic west coast hardcore with a great singer. A classic. [9]
  • Frecher, kratziger, und trotzdem sehr melodischer California-HC, der viele Nachahmer gefunden hat. Genial vor allem die tolle Stimme des Sängers, dem diese Platte gewidmet ist (er ging aufs College und die Band löste sich vorerst auf). Wer auf melodiösen Punk steht, ist hier richtig. Klasse.

 

Their first album goes by the title Milo Goes To College. At the controls was famous US HC producer Spot who also produced records by the likes of BIG BOYS, BLACK FLAG, HÜSKER DÜ, MINUTEMEN, AGNOSTIC FRONT and so on. Listen to stompers like ‘I’m Not A Punk’ / ‘Suburban Home’ / ‘Hope’ / ‘Parents’ / ‘I Wanna Be A Bear’ / ‘Bikeage’ / ‘Myage’ and the super-dooooper classic ‘I’m Not A Loser’. There is a minimal tear from a price tag on front of the sleeve otherwise the condition is:

Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
