Desert Session's fourth installment, "Vol. IV/Hard Walls and Little Trips", on vinyl 10", released by Man's Ruin Records (mr 112). 1998.


Volume 4: Hard Walls and Little Trips is the fourth installment of the Desert Sessions series, a side project of Queens of the Stone Age frontman, Josh Homme. It was originally released in 1998 on cream-colored 10" vinyl, and is currently Out Of Print.

The Eagles of Death Metal (Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes, Loo Balls, Carlo Von Sexron, Craig Armstrong and T. Fresh) performed "The Gosso King Of Crater Lake", "Hogleg" and "You Keep On Talkin'". The Eagles of Death Metal has since become a real band centered around Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes guitars and singing instead of Loo Balls vocals. Carlo Von Sexron is one of Josh Homme's monikers. He is also known to record drums and/or bass guitar for EODM to this day, though he does not tour with them.

"The Green Monarchs" (Alfredo Hernández, Larry Lalli, Mario Lalli, Josh Homme, Chris Goss, Nick Oliveri, Tony Tornay) performed "Monster in the Parasol", "Jr. High Love" and "Eccentric Man" (Originally by psychedelic blues band The Groundhogs.)


Vinyl Grade: VG to VG+; a small amount of observable wear, no deep scratches, no warps, no writing or stickers on the labels

Jacket Grade: VG++ to EX; small amount of wear to the edges and corners, no seam splits, no tears, no writing or random stickers on the jacket


M > NM > EX > VG > G > P
