HERE IS AN ORIGINAL PRESSING OF THE ICONIC 1969 ALBUM FROM JAMAICAN ARTIST DESMOND DEKKER, WHICH FEATURES "THE ISRAELITES" TITLE TRACK; ONE OF THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL REGGAE CHART HITS

THE VINYL HAS BEEN DEEP CLEANED ON A RCM TO REMOVE JUST A LITTLE LINT, OVERALL THE RECORD IS IN PRETTY STRONG SHAPE GIVEN IT'S AGE. THE SURFACES ON BOTH SIDES ARE CLEAN AND RETAIN GLOSS, THEY ARE FREE OF NASTY SCRATCHES, NICKS, HORIZONTALLY DAMAGED GROOVES, DAMP SPOTS, WARPS AND THAT SORT OF THING! ON INSPECTION YOU CAN SEE SOME INFREQUENT WISPY CONTACT RUBS ALONG WITH A HANDFUL OF SLIGHTLY MORE VISUALLY DEFINED HAIRLINE SURFACE MARKS DOTTED ABOUT, REALLY NOTHING SERIOUS JUST LIGHT SIGNS OF PREVIOUS USE, HANDLING AND LONG TERM STORAGE. THE RECORD SITS FLAT AND PLAYS THROUGH WELL WITH A STRONG BRIGHT SOUND, WITHOUT ANY CLIPPING ON THE MIDDLE OR HIGHER FREQUENCIES, I'VE GIVEN IT A BIT OF A SPIN AT HIGH VOLUME TO ACCENTUATE IMPERFECTIONS - YOU CAN NOTICE SOME MINIMAL BACKGROUND PRESENCE BUT REALLY NOTHING PARTICULARLY INTRUSIVE OR BEYOND WHAT YOU MIGHT CONSIDER PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE, NO ANNOYING CONSTANT POPS OR CLICKS AND THAT SORT OF THING JUST THE BEAUTIFUL OF VINYL SPINNING AWAY WITH PERHAPS AN OCCASIONAL LOUDER POP OR CLICK COMING THROUGH... CERTAINLY IN THE "VERY GOOD+" REALMS AND I THINK NOTHING THAT WOULD UPSET MOST COLLECTORS BUT PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE SOME LIGHT SIGNS OF GENERAL USE... THE SLEEVE HAS A CENTRE SPINE SPLIT OTHERWISE JUST SOME LIGHT GENERAL SHELF WEAR AND IS GENERALLY STRONGLY RESEMBLING THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE, IT IS A GENERIC WHITE INNER SLEEVE I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WAS ORIGINALLY ISSUED WITH THE RECORD OR NOT...
