Very glossy with few faintest sleeve wisps, viewed under hard bright light. LP plays superbly clean throughout. labels are pristine both sides.

Psych-Surf guitar legend JERRY COLE leads this group of top Southern California
session men in one of his very earliest Hot Rod Rock outings.?
Amazingly nice pressing from infamous exploito CROWN label, who pretty much kept Jerry Cole in gas and beer money through 1966.
You'll also hear him sharing lead singing on the vocal tracks as well, by the way?.?

Jerry Cole began recording in 1960, playing twangy guitar rock -almost always under a pseudonym; by 1963 he was off to the races with the HOT ROD scene, recording not only as THE DEUCE COUPES but also variously as The Superstocks (with Gary Usher), The Stingers, The Scramblers, Jerry Kole and The Strokers, The Hot Rodders , The Shut Downs and The Blasters. These were almost exclusively sessions for Crown Records.
Moving to CAPITOL Records he mostly got to record under his own name (as JERRY COLE and HIS SPACEMEN), playing primarily Surf Music, with some Hot Rod still thrown in - and getting paid much better to boot.
By 1967 he was firmly into underground psych guitar, notoriously recording as "THE ID" and "THE ANIMATED EGG" also appearing on various labels as "T. Swift & The Electric Bag", "Haircuts & The Impossibles" and "The Generation Gap" among others.
His Guitar playing was always amazing, on a par with - and often exceeding - his far more famous contemporaries.?
