1968 UK STABLE STEREO SLP-7001

Here is a very rare original 1968 uk Stable label first stereo pressing of this musically brilliant underground psych album by the Deviants. The thick vinyl is visually in EX+ very clean condition, there are no bad marks or scratches at all and all tracks play and sound superb with barely any surface crackle at all. The front and back laminated inside center loading gatefold sleeve with two internal flip-backs is also in great condition apart from a small bottom edge rip that has been repaired with clear tape.

This very rare 1968 uk first press psych album does not surface for sale in this condition very often at all.

THICK STEREO VINYL = EX+

The thick stereo vinyl is in EX+ very clean playing condition. Both sides still have a really superb original sheen, there are no bad marks, scuffs or scratches at all so there are no areas of continuous pops or clicks, there are just some ultra-fine inner sleeve withdrawal traces visible in stronger light and just a few very light wispy top surface hairlines, there really are no bad marks at all and this very rare album actually looks barely played.

Both sides play excellent throughout with just the very tiniest amount of occasional very light background hiss/crackle and just the odd sporadic static pop, this really is so minor as both sides play and sound near perfect. This album has been very well looked after and as it has rarely been played there is no lessoning in the sound quality. The music always sounds excellent, this is just a really great clean copy that will not disappoint.

FULLY TEXTURED LABELS = EX

Both fully textured orange Stable labels are in excellent condition with minimal marking and wear.

FRONT/BACK LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE = VG+

The front and back laminated gatefold cover is in very good+ condition, the front and back lamination still looks in nice condition with just a few creases at the bottom corners and just a few very small ones to the front top right corner. This is a inside center loading gatefold sleeve, the front cover is made from just a single sheet of card instead of two, this means that the cover is more fragile than a standard gatefold cover and at some point in time the cover has ripped near the bottom edge along the spine, this is only a small tear and it has been neatly repaired with a small piece of clear tape. The inside gatefold is still clean with just very light signs of wear and age, the two internal flip-backs are clean and strong with no defects at all. The back edge has some areas of wear but the top and bottom edges are in excellent condition. The spine is quite flat due to the sleeve design but all text is nice and clear and easy to read. This cover still looks in great condition and would grade excellent if it were not for the small repaired rip.

The poly-lined inner sleeve is not the original that came with the album, the thick vinyl has a overly sharp outer edge which caused a few seem splits to the original paper inner sleeve so i replaced it with a newer poly-lined inner for a little extra protection.

I pack my records very well, the album will be removed from the outer cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
