In the late 60s The Deviants were something like the British equivalent to the Fugs, with touches of the Mothers of Invention and the British R&B-based rock of the Yardbirds and Pretty Things. Their simplistic riffing anticipated acts like the Stooges for an inspired collision of punk attitude and psychedelic eclecticism

Originally released in 1968,as this was their follow-up to their debut 'Ptooff' lp and nearly as good.'Disposable' simply continues the feat of showing off Mick Farren's off beat sense of humor.With cuts like "Sparrows And Wires","Let's Loot The Supermarket",the notable "Slum Lord" and "Normality",I personally thought that 'Disposable' was a true keeper.Line-up:Farren-vocals,Duncan Sanderson-bass,Sid Bishop-guitar and Russell Hunter-drums.Another outstanding late '60's UK piece of psychedelia to fully take in.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new. (NOTE: minor scuff on side 2 IS visible, but totally inaudible and does not significantly affect the overall grade)

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 (front side) and 3 (back side)

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

-         Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged  (nothing significant)

-         Minor yellowing noted on the INSIDE gatefold

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No peel-off marks

-        No stains

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover
