Description
Here we have a rare copy of Dexter Gordon - Go! on the Blue Note blue/white Liberty label.
Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder and released in 1962, this is a 1967 Stereo reissue with VAN GELDER STEREO stamped in the deadwax - see photos.
The record has been Degritter cleaned and has come up with a lovely glossy sheen and no real marks apart from a couple of tiny scuffs. Very clean labels and spindle holes. We have graded EX.
Playback is the usual superb audio quality you would expect from Blue Note. The musicians are truly in the room with you, wonderful low frequency and a wide soundstage. No issues whatsoever.
The outer sleeve is pretty clean and robust apart from a small area of damage to the top seam near the opening. Some invisible tape has been applied subtly to the corners to reinforce but this has been done well and does not look ugly. There is some foxing to the rear and light ringwear. Overall though in good shape.
The original Blue Note printed inner sleeve is present & in excellent condition, however we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine - you will receive both.
The record will sent separated from the outer in an archival sleeve to prevent transit splits.
A lovely copy for any Blue Note collector to own, play and enjoy.
