"DOIN' ALLRIGHT" - - DEXTER GORDON QUINTET - - BLUE NOTE BLP 4077 - - Another superb offering on the great Blue Note label. of this outstanding 1963 USA release !!! - - A strongly grading EX+ jacket, with excellent seams and spine, and with no ringwear, which houses an equally strong EX+ disc, that plays superbly, with only a couple of light sleeve scuffs that do not affect play! - - It has super clean blue/white labels, bearing the NEW YORK USA address, with RVG & EAR in the run off wax !!! - -   I would assess it at 98% perfect audio !!! - - The magnificent front line pairing, of Dexter Gordon and Freddie Hubbard, on tenor and trumpet respectively, lead an equally outstanding rhythm section, made up of Horace Parlan, pno, George Tucker on bass and Al Harewood, drums - - As you would expect, the ensuing programme is MEGA jazz indeed !!! - - The 5 trax are:- A loping version of Gershwin's,  "I was doing all right", a soulful, moving performance of the beautiful, "You've changed", Dexter's own, "For regulars only", super bluesy, "Society Red" and finally, "It's you or no one" - - Great jazz and a real nice copy nott to be missed !!! - - As usual, a low start price and no reserve on a 10 day auction !!! - - Good luck and thankyou for your interest !!! - - £19.99
