I am offering for Auction a very nice and original Issue of -

"Johannes Brahms - The Complete Chamber Music"

 The 2 String Sextets, 2 String Quintets, the Piano and Clarinet Quintet, the 3 String Quartets, and 3 Piano Quartet, the Horn Trio and Clarinet Trio, and the 3 Piano Trios.

Also:  Karl Leister and Jörg Demus play the 2 Clarinet Sonatas; And finally, the two legendary Recordings of the 3 Violin Sonatas by Christian Ferras and Pierre Barbizet, And  2 Cello Sonatas, by Pierre Fournier and Rudolf Firkusny.

Other Performers are Members of the Amadeus Quartet, the Drolc Quartet, the Trio di Trieste, Christoph Aeschenbach, Gert Seifert, Karl Leister, Cecil Aronowitz and William Pleeth.

Recording-Engineers: Heinz Wildhagen, Harald Baudis, Hans-Peter Schweigmann and Klaus Scheibe.

NOTE: This heavy First-Edition cloth-covered box was obtained by the previous Owner in the first year of its release, on December 8th, 1968. Every time he played a Record from this box, he made a marking on its inner-sleeve.

Of course, one can never be certain about such markings. But they certainly appear to be seldomly played in the past. 

Markings indicate that 6 LP's were played 4 times, 6 LP's were played 3 times, the String Quintets LP was only played 1 time, and 2 LP's were never even played, namely the Sonata LP's by Ferras/Barbizet and Fournier/Firkusny.
