Description
Very rare Tchaikovsky – Symphony No.5. Original DGG Red stereo cover with tulips labels and ‘Alle Herstellar’ text.
Leningrad Phiharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jewgenij Mrawinskij.
1961 Deutsche Grammophon Gesellshaft (Cat.No. SLPM 138 658) Condition: Cover: Vg+ / Disc: Vg+
The cover has some scuffing of the spines but no splits so graded as VG+
Visually the record is superb and would be graded at least as EX+. On playing there is background crackle to Side 1 which is noticeable in the quiet parts with the odd pop/crackle, so would be graded as VG. Side two plays better there is again some background crackle but this settles and overall plays as EX.
The record has not been cleaned as i leave this up to the buyer, but i am sure this would enhance the sound quality.
