This is the original 1967 German pressing of Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft Hamburg 139 012 SLPM Stereo. Recordings of GEORG FRIEDRICH HÄNDEL`s Concerti grossi op.6 nr.5,12 and 10. Herbert von Karajan conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker AND also plays Cembalo.

Record Condition

Visual grading: NEAR MINT! Play grading:  NEAR MINT to EXCELLENT! No skips, no repeats, no loud clicks etc.! Mainly in the run-in grooves light to moderate background noise that ceases to be audible when the music starts, yet there remains some occasional light background sound which to me is not a serious disturbance and mostly only audible inbetween movements! I have listened to the album completely and think the record sounds amazing, bright and clear! Yet, THIS IS NOT A NEW RECORD and it is NOT perfect but considering it`s age it simply looks and sounds fantastic! It would be very difficult to find this record in a better condition!

Cover Condition

Excellent! Light wear and ageing.

GRADING

I try my best to be as accurate as possible as I have been collecting records for more than 25 years and have experienced the annoyance when records are graded inaccurately. Every collector of records knows - and every honest seller of records should know also! - that a visual grading does not say much about the actual condition of the record. Consequently: grading a record MINT or NEAR MINT without listening to it is simply negligent - to say the least. Unfortunately this happens on e-bay every day. On the other hand: it is simply not possible to listen to hundreds of records. So I decided to give every single record a careful acoustic check for the basic sound, listening to parts that look "suspicious" if necessary but I did not listen to the records throughout. If any inconvenience occurs from this - please let me know as soon as possible.

MINT (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

NEARLY MINT (NM - Goldmine standard) The record shows no obvious signs of wear. The vinyl should show no wear from playing only the slightest of paper scuffs are acceptable. The jacket should look as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink-wrap.

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects is acceptable.

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

Returns are accepted if the item was misdescribed! And - sorry to say - only in that case!
