Description

DIAL 1 mono LP Bartok Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion. William Masselos, piano, Maro Ajemian, piano, Saul Goodman, tympani, percussion, Abraham Marcus, xylophone, percussion. First Dial 12" classical record, issued 1950. (This is the same DIAL label that issued iconic 10" jazz LPs.) Vinyl 8.8/10, minor surface scratches and scuffs, light spindle marks. Auditioned, plays well, with low frequency hum in master recording that is not intrusive once the music begins. Jacket 8/10 with bumped corners, light scuffs/scratches on front, light mildew on rear, lower (see image).  Includes original glassine inner sleeve, but record will ship in plain white paper sleeve for safety. Jacket design by David Stone Martin, with small printed signature. Liner notes by Sidney Finkelstein. Surprisingly nice condition for a record of this rarity and age.

USPS Media shipping w/delivery confirmation (domestic) $4.00. USPS First Class International (airmail) shipping/handling $18.00 w/customs documentation. PayPal payment requested within 7 days, please. Will combine shipping.
