DIAMOND HEAD

LIGHTNING TO THE NATIONS (THE WHITE ALBUM)

1980 UK WHITE LABEL PROMO pressing

Matrix No: MMDHLP 1015 A1/B1

This is the Mega Rare NWOBHM LP: Diamond Head: Lightning To The Nations, the plain white promo pressing. It is one of 1000 copies given out at gigs and this one is signed on the cover by Duncan Scott, and comes with a photo of the band autographed by all 4 members. This is the original promo pressing with plain white labels and a plain white cover, it's really hard to find a copy since so few were pressed.  Unfortunately the previous owner wrote on the sleeve and the labels, it now has 'DIAMOND HEAD' and the tracklist written on both the cover and the labels (please see my photos). It doesn't bother me much as it doesn't change the fact that this record is the holy grail of Diamond Head's vinyl releases, and I don't think the writing looks that bad anyway, but I'll leave that up to you to decide!

The condition of the vinyl is EXcellent, Side 1 has one faint hairline mark and Side 2 has 2 hairline marks, none of which cause any effect on the quality of the audio. 

However the labels have Diamond Head and the tracklist written on both sides, therefore I would grade the labels as VG-.

The white cover also has writing on it, Diamond Head is written on both sides as well as the tracklisting on one side, there is also a minor tear along the bottom edge of the sleeve.  Duncan Scott's signature is still clear though and hasn't been defaced, I would grade this as VG-.    

The photo is in EXcellent condition with just one small crease, I would grade this as EX-.
