VINYL: VG+ *Album is in VG+ condition with very minor, light surface scuffing which doesn't affect play. PLEASE NOTE: All records have minimal surface noise so don't expect them to sound as crisp as a CD. 

COVER: VG- *Cover is in very good condition VG- with some wear including light ring wear & scuffing and some more noticeable scuffing along bottom edge including a 1/2" split in lower right corner. It is in a collector's plastic sleeve where it has been stored since 1978.

SLEEVE: White paper sleeve.

INFO: Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 is the debut album from Gary, Indiana-based soul family band The Jackson 5, released on the Motown label in December 1969. The Jackson 5's lead singer, a preteenage boy named Michael Jackson, and his older brothers Marlon, Jermaine, Tito, and Jackie, became pop successes within months of this album's release. Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5's only single, "I Want You Back", became a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 within weeks of the album's release. The album title suggested that Motown star Diana Ross had discovered the group, as do the Ross-penned liner notes on the back cover. Ross' alleged discovering of the Jackson 5 was in fact part of Motown's marketing and promotions plan for the Jackson 5; Motown artists Bobby Taylor and Gladys Knight were the ones who had actually discovered the Jacksons. Ross did, however, introduce the group to the public both in concert and on television.

RECORD GRADING: Still Sealed (SS) = In factory-fresh condition.
Mint (M) = Perfect, brand new condition. No evidence of wear and tear, and the vinyl shows no signs of having being repeatedly played.
Near Mint (NM) = A near mint record should be almost perfect. No more than the most minor of defects on vinyl and cover.
Excellent (EX) = Signs of use in that there will be some light scratches or surface abrasions on the vinyl, but will not affect the sound quality in any way. The cover may have some tiny amounts of scuffing or some small creasing in the corners.
Very Good (VG) = Numerous light scratches or scuffs on the vinyl, but it should still play without noticeable deterioration of sound quality. The cover may have a small split, or noticeable scuffing and creasing along the edges. The label may be slightly discoloured and some ring wear may be visible.
Good (G) = Vinyl can be played without hopping or skipping, but there may be some hissing or extra surface noise. Cover may have some seem splits, scuffing, creasing, ring wear or discoloring.
Fair (F) = Record can still probably be played, but the sound quality will not be good, possessing surface noise and bad scratches. The outer and inner sleeve will be badly worn, creased or torn.
Poor (P) = Record in may be unplayable, cracked, warped, or have several deep scratches. The cover may be torn, split, badly creased or have been defaced or written on.

All of my albums and CD's were purchased brand new by me and stored in collector's cabinets in a non-smoking home. Anything released after 1976 has only been played on a Harman Kardon turntable. They have been very well taken care of. PLEASE NOTE: Most of my collectibles are used and vintage. They are not brand new unless otherwise noted, so please do not expect brand new items. I do my best to properly grade and adequately describe each item. Because of ability to make recordings of this music then return it, all sales are final. Sold "as is" so please read description carefully and ask plenty of questions before bidding.
