MEGARARE original Tamla Motown Records very first MONO press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1968 by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. Records (CRC Records), catalog number MM-665-X, with hand etched matrix numbers MM-665 AA in Side 1 and MM-665-B AA in Side 2, with yellow/black Tamla Motown Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“REFLECTIONS” was originally released in March 1968 and in Chile we didn’t have to wait much because the same year it was released here, but like usual in that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER made of a single piece of a very thin cardboard folded in the middle with two sheets of paper attached (glued only in the mouth edge) to that cardboard for front and back cover, so 3 sides are open and kept together for a plastic bag. Front cover has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, with album title written in English only and the song “Up, Up And Away” as subtitle also written in English only, with Motown Records logo at top right corner and catalog number at bottom right corner. Back cover is totally different, with album title written in Spanish only, the tracklist written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters, and adds for other 3 record by The Supremes released in Chile, “The Supremes”, “At The Copa” and “A’ Go-Go”. In labels the album title and tracklist are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters. You can notice that in front cover the name of the band is written “Diana Ross AND The Supremes”, like in original US press, in back cover it’s in Spanish “Diana Ross Y The Supremes” and in labels it’s “Diana Ross & The Supremes”. So here you have the chance to own ANOTHER RARITY from Chile, the album “Reflections” with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and UNIQUE TAMLA MOTOWN LABELS!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ condition both the front and back covers, no ring marks, no blemishes, age browning in back cover, only some moderate wear, some creases and little rips in the mouth edge, front cover is glossy. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with light scuffs and soft hairlines, and very faint scratches hard to see, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great NM- or NM condition, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with soft crackles here and there, more evident in the silent parts, which don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe it’s not a copy for Minty minds or audiophiles, but this record keeps a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and still a great sound quality after more than 46 years!!! And keep in mind the UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and UNIQUE Tamla Motown Records labels!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
