Original Uruguay Hard Psych LP 1973
Uruguay pressing - De la Planta KL-8332 - 1973 /// Extremely hard to find in any condition, this is the original uruguayan hard psych record with the original cover artwork made for Celmar Poume, wanted for collectors all over the world.
The Magic Land (the most important guide about Argentina and Uruguay prog, psych and beat bands of the 60's and 70's) says about this band and record: "After the break-up of Opus Alfa in 1972, Bertolone, Barral and Graf formed the power trio Dias de Blues. Their music, and absolutely wild and raw mixture of hyper electric drug-induced progressive blues with social-concerned lyrics, found influences on Cream, Led Zeppelin and Cactus. Their only LP, recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina by the end of 1972, captures the roughness and vitality of their concerts like many few gropups ever managed to. Conceived inside the typical parameters of the time, the album is an indisputable sample of progressive hard rock. It is absolutely recommended to understand the acid-progressive rock of that time. Daniel Bertolone plays the hell out in his solos and riffs obtained the sound that most guitars players dreamed in those days. Jorge Barral, strongly influenced by Jack Bruce in the vocal and instrumental part, gives the global sound of this group with his strongly melodic sense. On the other hand, Jorge Graf, an astonishing effective drummer, contributes with his constant accurate solid metric.The psychedelic blues "Amasijando los blues", the acid rock "Estan desubicados" and pro drug allegations like "Dame tu sonrisa, loco" are great examples of the band effectiveness. The strange psycho-folk of "Esto es nuestro" or the brutal energy discharged on "Toda tu vida, round up this great album of inspired compositions. A must have record!
This album was released in Uruguay and Argentina with different covers. Both editions are extremely rare, particularly the uruguayan."

GRADING
Cover: VG. This very fragile cover, made of thin cardboard looks in acceptable condition. Soft brown areas produced by moisture on the front cover, it doesn't affect too much the beauty of this wonderful psychedelic cover. (See scan.) Spine and seams with some wear, two rips and crease near the center of the open side, two rips on the back cover near of the center of the open side were carefully restored from the inside with transparent tape, little moisture and ink signs on the back cover, little splits at the bottom and top. I put this cover inside of a easily removal plastic bag to protect it and embelish it.
Record:Visual: VG to VG+. Still keeps the original gloss with visibles but light lines and some light scratch. Sound: Vg to VG+. Plays nice with some noise in the B1 introduction (few seconds) and between songs and some occasional little noise. The sound is clear, loud and powerful! Labels in VG++ condition with soft dirt.
